January 7, 2026 – ALTIBASE and Digital Information Technology announced today that they have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly expand the database management system (DBMS) market in Korea and Japan.

Under this agreement, the two companies will strengthen cooperation across database and integrated data infrastructure businesses, centered on ALTIBASE’s next-generation database technologies. ALTIBASE will drive market expansion for high-performance, highly scalable database solutions based on its newly released products, including ALTIBASE 8, Sharding 3, and Altibase Windows 2026. Digital iTech will be responsible for project execution, leveraging its expertise in system integration (SI) and the design, deployment, and operation of IT infrastructure for enterprise and public-sector customers.

ALTIBASE is a leading Korean DBMS vendor with over 25 years of proven experience delivering database solutions for mission-critical environments across finance, public sector, and telecommunications, based on its hybrid in-memory database technology.

Digital iTech is an IT services company specializing in system integration and IT infrastructure services for enterprises and public institutions. The company possesses broad technical capabilities across data backup, virtualization, and cloud technologies, and has consistently delivered stable and reliable data infrastructure environments through extensive experience in backup and recovery systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based infrastructure design.

In the Korean market, where demand for replacing commercial databases continues to rise alongside increasing requirements for large-scale transaction processing, scalability, and operational stability, the two companies plan to jointly pursue database replacement and new deployment projects using next-generation database technologies. In particular, they aim to expand adoption among financial, public-sector, and enterprise customers through sharding-based scalable architectures and robust support for Windows environments.

In overseas markets, including Japan, the companies will combine ALTIBASE’s global business expansion strategy with Digital iTech’s project execution capabilities to jointly identify new opportunities for database migration and end-to-end data infrastructure deployment centered on next-generation database platforms.
